Thank you for your interest in registering your child/children at the B.C. Muslim School. This information package explains our Admission Process.To apply for admission of your child, please fill the attached registration forms and provide the original of the following documents:

APPLICATION PACKAGE:

Please note that we will only accept a complete application package.

  • Registration form
  • Student – Birth Certificate, Citizenship Card, Landed Immigrant Document, Permanent Residency, Refugee Status, Study Permit
  • Parents -Proof of Citizenship (Canadian Birth Certificate, Citizenship Card, Landed Immigrant Document, Permanent Residency Card, Refugee Status, Work or Study Permit)
  • 2 Primary Proof of Residency documents (BC Driver License, Rental Agreement, Municipal Tax, Credit or Bank Statement, MSP invoice  )
  • 1 Secondary Proof of Residency (Utility bill)
  • B.C. Care Card
  • Last School Report Card
  • Vaccination Record (Immunization)
  • Admission Fee $100.00 (non-refundable)

ASSESSMENT

All students will be required to attend an assessment session. This is necessary in order to match the student’s learning needs to the support services available at our school.

Our admission personnel will contact the parents regarding the application outcome. If the child is accepted, parents will be directed to discuss transport and financial arrangements with the appropriate personnel on a “first come, first served” basis. When arrangements for fee payment and bus transport are completed, parents, parents should confirm date of starting school with the school administration.

UNIFORM

Boys are required to wear navy blue pants, white shirt and navy blue cardigan. Girls should wear navy blue tunic, navy blue pants, full sleeve white shirt, navy blue cardigan and white hijab. Uniform can be purchased from any uniform selling store ; for example : Sears, Old Navy, Superstore etc.

TRANSPORTATION:

The B.C. Muslim School provides bus transportation to and from school
for a fee. Safe transport of students to and from our school is our primary concern; therefore, strict adherence to bus rules and
regulations is a must. Students who continually disregard bus rules may have their
riding privileges suspended or, in extreme cases, terminated.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (Zakat Fund):

  • Parents/Guardians who need financial assistance should complete the Zakat Form and submit it to the office with the necessary documentations before the due date.
  • The outcome of your application depends on the availability of Zakat Funds available and your financial situation.
